2015 federal election may have been influenced

Foreign money funnelled towards Canadian political advocacy groups affected the outcome of the 2015 federal election, according to a document filed last week with Elections Canada and obtained in part by the Herald.

Inquest of Outaouais youth shot by police

Quebec’s chief coroner has ordered an inquest into the death of a teen who was shot and killed by a provincial police officer in 2015 after a chase in Messines near Maniwaki.The order by Chief Coroner Catherine Rudel-Tessier was announced Friday.Brandon Maurice, 17, was shot on Nov. 16, 2015 after a pursuit involving a Sûreté du Québec officer.
