Mississauga man dies after 'physical altercation'

A 23-year-old Mississauga man is dead after what police are calling a "physical altercation" over the weekend.

Peel Regional Police say officers responded to a call for medical assistance in the Queen St. S. and Tannery St. area of Mississauga around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday.

A man was found suffering from blunt-force trauma injuries and he was taken to a local hospital.

On Sunday, Alan Connor Drew died from his injuries.

He is the region's 13th homicide of the year.

Police are asking any witnesses or those with dashcam or surveillance video from the area to call 905-453-2121, ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers.
