GUEST WRITTEN BY JEREMY REISLER

Jeremy Reisler is the special events manager at The MRG Group, the hospitality and entertainment company behind some of Toronto's favourite haunts like Rock n' Horse Saloon and The Porch. Because bringing people together for unforgettable experiences is his life's work, Jeremy shares his six picks for the festivals you don't want to miss this summer in Toronto:

1 NXNE Music Festival (Port Lands, 51 Commissioners St.) This is one of the coolest music festivals the city has to offer with a stellar mix of music genres, food and art. Big names like Kaytranada and Post Malone will perform live, the local food trucks are incredible and a ride on the Ferris Wheel completes the experience. Tickets start at $80.00. June 23-25.

2 Dreams Festival (RBC Echo Beach) The Bud Light Dreams Festival was the first electronic festival I ever attended and I had a blast. If you love live DJs, electronic music and dancing all day long, Dreams Festival is a must. This year's lineup is stacked including headliners like Steve Angello and DVBBS. Tickets start at $125.00. July 7-8.

3 Summer Craft Beer Festival (Liberty Village Market Galleria, 171 E Liberty St.) The Summer Craft Beer Festival is happening on a Thursday night and offers 15 craft brews to imbibe. Food samples are via Liberty and there's live music. As a King West resident, this micro-festival in Liberty Village is close to home and a great way to kick back and soak up summer with friends after a long day at work. Tickets are $22.50. July 13.

4 Budweiser County Fair (525 King St. W.) The inaugural Budweiser County Fair will bring a boot-stomping country festival to the heart of King West. The two-day party will feature BBQ from some of Toronto's top chefs like Steve Gonzalez and Nate Middleton, live music from rising Canadian country stars, carnival games, line dancing and more. As one of the event organizers and a big country fan, I'm excited to bring country to downtown. Tickets start at $34.50. July 14-15.

5 Toronto's Festival of Beer (Bandshell Park, Exhibition Place) Having attended Toronto's Festival of Beer (TFOB) for the past five years, it's safe to say it's one of my favourite festivals of the summer. With throwback performances from Method Man and Redman on the Friday and 100 brewers featuring more than 300 types of beer all weekend, this festival is a no-brainer. Tickets start at $42.50. July 28-30.

6 OVO Fest Drake's famed music festival, OVO Fest, has undoubtedly put Toronto on the hip-hop map. The best part? Each year Drizzy promises a big surprise guest appearance - Jay Z, Kanye West and Rihanna all have performed in the past. It's one of my favourite weekends of the year and I can't wait to see the 2017 lineup. Dates and location to be announced.
