WATCH: Former UFC champ Brock Lesnar walks on sacred Jets logo
Brock Lesnar steps over a team logo inside the Winnipeg Jets locker room (YouTube screen grab)
Way to go, rookie.
WWE (and UFC) star Brock Lesnar learned one of the rules every NHL team adheres to when he paid a visit to the Winnipeg Jets locker room earlier this week.
An oblivious Lesnar enters the nearly-vacant locker room and casually strolls across the Jets logo on the floor, one of the real no-nos around the NHL. As he does it, Jets players gasp in shock and point out the faux pas.
The former UFC heavyweight champ appeared taken aback, pointing to a Jet and saying, “He walked me right over it.”
Of course, Lesnar’s indiscretion didn’t stop the players from posing with him for photos.
Video of Lesnar’s visit to the Jets’ room has been viewed more than 500,000 times on YouTube. And judging by many of the comments, viewers think the unwritten NHL rule is dumb.
“I’ve never understood the logo on the floor thing,” one poster said.
“If you didn’t want people to step on your logo, why did you put it on the floor? Why can’t you put it on the wall or the ceiling?”
